Despite my prediction yesterday that we’d have a McDonalds breakfast, we didn’t. By the time we’d managed to get all the baggage checked in, we figured we’d better get through the security gates into the main departure lounge as it was getting a little late.
Unfortunately, (or not?) there’s no McDonalds in the secured area, only in the bit before all the metal detectors etc. The food places in the secured area were fairly numerous, but didn’t include anywhere you could get a quick breakfast – it was all strange places like Yo! Sushi and Aqua or slow places like Garfunkels. We ended up getting bagels from one of the shops (Pip?) and going straight to the boarding gate and onto the plane. It was a Boeing 777 with British Airways.
