I’ve been messing around writing some perl modules for use with starting and maintaining a database index of multimedia objects – audio, video, pictures. The kind of thing that could be used as a base for one of those Photo Album websites.
It still isn’t quite functioning as intended – it’s more about having something useful to write which will also assist me in learning various new things; in this instance, object oriented Perl.
Not done any of this for a couple of weeks now, maybe I should have another go. Any suggestions for new perl based scripts welcomed; original, feasible ideas only though because I really don’t want to have to write Yet Another Guest Book!
