Video streaming

Recently spent a couple of days building VLS/VLC packages for debian ‘sid’ unstable. Having patched in Video4Linux support, and with the aid of a cheap BT878 TV tuner card in my linux box sending out multicast data, I can now watch TV upstairs on the other PC.

Perl stuff

Hooray! It finally works, well I can get 160x120 video with xawtv anyway. Now to find out how to get a larger image and work out where to put the camera to get something vaguely interesting.. insmod pwcx-i386.o and hey presto! a slightly bigger image (still not 640x480 though). …
